US Air Force's metal band - Boing Boing →
Sez RationalPragmatist:
I keep re-reading the first sentence of this post - “Max Impact is the Air Force’s nu metal band” - but my mind refuses to wrap itself around the concept. It’s just not right for so many reasons.
Great band name (uh, if you like band names that sound like James Bond knock-off names). How about Flying Asskickers? Or We Make Stuff Go Boom? Either...
I was listening to Arthur Russell’s “Walking on the Moon” and was struck by how much Santogold’s “Icarus” sounds like it. Actually, there’s this one part in “Icarus” that’s a way-too obvious sample of the distorted violin loop in “Walking on the Moon”. So yeah.

This show should get picked up by the Comedy Network. Or CBC. Or CTV. Whatever, it’s hilarious and I am still laughing at lines from Ep. 11.

People often say that Detroit (and Windsor) can’t or won’t make fuel-efficient small cars. One writer said that, at 25 miles per gallon, Ford original Model-T was more fuel efficient than most of its fleet today.
Yet, when I look around the streets of London, there are hundreds of small, efficient cars like the Ka and the Fiesta (from Ford) and various Vauxhalls (the local...

“…observed one of my students with a group of other children gathered around his laptop. Upon looking at his computer, I saw he was giving a demonstration of some sort. The student was showing the ability of the laptop and handing out Linux disks. After confiscating the disks I called a confrence [sic] with the student and that is how I came to...

Tried this out on my page. Got 69% female. Looks like I need to take the lead of Cam and put more pictures of artfully semi-nude women up on here.
Or not. I mean, I could do worse than 69%. Quite a bit worse.
